How To Connect With FSS – Fill Out Your Family Form
All staff at RMH know that their mission is to provide comfort, care and support to children and families. RMH employees aren’t just workers going about their jobs; they are part of the RMH mission.
Our staff get high marks in guest satisfaction. You will notice their warm welcomes and fond farewells. The RMH staff provides both smiles and comfort on the one hand, and makes sure families have a safe, welcoming place to sleep, eat, and play near the hospital. This allows our guests to thrive and embrace life and healing with a sense of hope, enthusiasm, courage and joy.
Staff trainings and support groups are offered by Family Support Services.

Two-hour long RMH training sessions for staff are conducted about once every two months. The goals associated with these trainings are to support GSAs and staff members as they may face challenges when working with families or other staff members.
The training sessions also provide a space for GSA and staff members to come together and share their experiences and stories, while providing GSAs and staff with tools to address various challenges and the opportunity to share their successes. Training topics are based on a needs assessment, recommendations by the director of operations, as well as observations by FSS.
Ronald McDonald House staff get together to talk about similar experiences that they are going through. These common experiences might be balancing home and work, understanding their own feelings of loss and grief, self care and good customer service. FSS facilitates both support groups at the House and online support meetings.
